When eWarehousing first launched in 2008, the world of eCommerce logistics looked very different. Founder Xander Tio recognized early on that businesses would soon need to outsource their logistics, but the market wasn’t quite ready. Demand truly took off in four years, but when it did, eWarehousing was one of the first companies to focus exclusively on e-logistics, paving the way for the status quo we all recognize today.

From shipping integration to full-scale IT partnership

In its early days, eWarehousing used Excel sheets to track its customer's orders and stock, but by 2012, it had developed its own warehouse management system (WMS). This system has been the backbone of their operations ever since, but as the business evolved, so did its needs. That’s where Wolfpack came in.

The collaboration between eWarehousing and Wolfpack began in 2022 when the eWarehousing team needed a smarter way to integrate shippers into their WMS. Wolfpack stepped in to connect eWarehousing’s WMS with carriers like DHL and PostNL, handling the complex data entry requirements and streamlining how orders were processed. This allowed eWarehousing to offload shipping logic, making their WMS leaner and more efficient.

But that was just the beginning. The conversation between the teams Koen quickly evolved into a broader discussion about how Orisha could help support eWarehousing’s long-term vision.

“Wolfpack won’t create a bad solution for a bad process - they’ll tell you to fix it first. Because they’re so straightforward, it’s super easy to communicate with them and every conversation moves things forward.”
Xander Tio, Founder, eWarehousing

Smarter order management with Wolfpack

One of the biggest goals for eWarehousing was removing complexity from their WMS while offering a more intelligent, business-rule-driven approach to order processing. Now, eWarehousing can separate fulfillment logic from warehouse management, simplifying operations while making the system more powerful.

For eWarehousing’s clients, this means a seamless experience. Instead of having to figure out where to send orders, they simply connect Wolfpacks’ OMS to eWarehousing’s WMS, and from there, smart business rules take care of the rest.

For example, if stock is split between the Netherlands and Germany, the OMS automatically assigns orders to the right warehouse based on country codes. With just this one integration, clients gain complete flexibility without extra development work. And now, as of February 2024, the OMS functionality is going live for its first customers.

“Working with eWarehousing is always a great experience and when you have a group of experts working together on something you get great results all around.”
Michel van Koekenberg, CEO, Wolfpack

Continuing to innovate

The next phase of our work together involves standardizing connections and testing with customers who have custom integrations. The end goal for eWarehousing? Becoming a pan-European fulfillment partner that allows businesses to outsource logistics seamlessly while always keeping things cost-efficient.

eWarehousing is set up for scale like never before. Their WMS remains lean and efficient, focusing purely on warehouse execution, while Wolfpack handles the complex logic of order distribution and fulfillment. By integrating smarter processes and staying ahead of the curve, eWarehousing and Wolfpack will continue to move the needle of what’s possible in omnichannel logistics.
