All Roads Lead To Converge Africa 2024

This year’s Converge Africa Conference, held at the CTICC in Cape Town, was a real hub of digital commerce pros gathered to share knowledge and network. It was our first time at the event and sharing a stand with long-time partner Cow Hills we got the chance to see just how much the market has to offer from potential partners to new customers.

Presence and impact

Led by Jodi, our country lead for Wolfpack in South Africa, we set out to make a strong impression at the conference. It’s always a pleasure to be in SA and seeing customers face to face, especially those that we’ve worked with for years, is always a real pleasure. It’s such a nice casual experience to be at a conference like Converge Africa, because we get to hang out at our stand with new and old faces alike dropping in for a chat.

The conference wasn’t just about strengthening old ties, but also about exploring new ones. With nearly 100 speakers and a bunch of workshops, there was a huge amount of knowledge sharing from some of the industry's very best on offer, with the likes of Under Armour, L’Oreal, and Cape Union Mart all giving talks.

Pair that with the fact we were sharing a stand with Cow Hills so we both got the opportunity to meet their contacts and vice versa, there was a great deal of cross-pollination. But it wasn’t just prospects that we got to chat to, there were also some fantastic chats with potential partners who can help us push ORP while we help them with all things omnichannel management.

There was of course a networking event on Tuesday night which we were actually very well-behaved at because of such a long day on our feet, but it felt like a real coming together of the industry after we’d spent all day talking shop. For a team attending the conference for the first time, events like these are crucial for building a sense of belonging and enjoyment, so this was the cherry on top.

Attended the event but didn’t get a chance to say hello? Why not reach out now, we’d love to chat and find out more about your work in digital retail.
